    Wow that is super intell lol. Please keep me posted on how the engine runs under load driving around. I wonder how close the timing curves are from the stock cdi set up to the 583 set up. Thanks.

      This is an easy conversion on the 75 245 motor due to the location of the keyway and the larger mag-end but to convert a 76 RV motor requires major work as no newer flywheel fits the small diameter mag-end on the crank.

          Mounted the headlight hardware tonight and wired in the new Hewtech cdi box. Test firing soon. Can't try it now. Kids sleeping, attached garages lol.

            yaaaaaaaaa baby. Fire in the holes!!!!!!!!!!! It took a bit of coaxing but I got it to fire and roughly idle. It's struggling to wind out so I'm going to have to borrow a timing light and adjust. It turns out that the cdibox wasn't the problem at all. I guess it never hurts to have a spare. The culprit was the rotary valve seal. It's been a long battle and feels so good to have finally figured it out.
