  • 10th Annual VSCA Nationals Midland Michigan

    WHAT: 10th Annual VSCA National Championship Show, 2 Day Swap Meet, along with Racers Reunion and ASCOA Summer Meet.
    WHERE: MIDLAND COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS, 2250 AIRPORT RD. MIDLAND MICHIGAN 48642
    DAY/TIME/EVENT: Thursday Aug 6th 1pm to 9pm Early Drop Off/Set Up.
    Friday Aug 7th- Sled Drop Off/ Set Up: 7am to 12 Noon.
    Friday Aug 7th- Official Grand Opening & First Day Nationals Show: 1pm to 9pm.
    Saturday Aug 8th- Second Day Nationals Show: 8am to 5pm. Show Buildings Doors Shut at 5pm. (very limited prearranged move outs allowed at 5pm- See Registration form for details)

    Saturday Aug 8th- 630pm to 1030pm - 10th Annual VSCA National Championship Awards Banquet- Gerstacker Building on Fairgrounds Property.

    SWAP MEET- MANY GREAT VENDORS FROM OUR SPORT along with Acres of Swappers, Several Top Notch Food Vendors.
    BOTH DAYS: FRI 7AM TO 9PM & SAT 8AM TO 5PM.


    Gate Fee is only $5 per day. Swapper Fee $20.

    DIRECTIONS; We will be using the Airport Road Entrance to Fairgounds-- for your GPS put in 2250 Airport Rd, Midland Michigan.
    Airport road runs east/west just north of US10. Get off at Eastman Road Exit- Airport Road is at Stop Light 200 Feet north of the overpass and runs to the West. Go past Lowes, then the National Guard Armory and bingo you are there ! The Eastman Road entry to Fairgrounds will not be open or being used.

    Midland is my home town, I will make a list of other things for the family to do for the people that will be here for the weekend, most are low cost or free.


    Dow Gardens , Vary nice place for anyone interested in gardening this is on the home steed of Herbert Dow fonder of the Dow Chemical Co. One cost to get into this and Whiting forest, they are about 2 miles from the fair grounds. http://www.dowgardens.org

    Alden B. Dow Museum of science and Art, part of the center for the Arts, vary interesting place for young and old alike some of it is permeant display and part changes a few times a year. They have air so it is a nice place to go on a hot day. Next to Dow gardens about 2 miles from the show.

    City forest, 520 Wooded acres with Mountain bike and hiking trails. It is right next to the fair grounds.

    Pere Marquette rail Trail, 87 mile paved bike path starts at the triage park in down town Midland about 3 mile from the show.

    The Tridge 3 legged foot bridge where 2 rivers meet with parks at each leg, also the site of the Farmers market open Saturday mornings. about 3 miles from the show. They also have a spray park for the kids.

    Dow Diamond , Grate Lakes Loons Baseball , single A farm team for the LA Dodgers they have home games both friday and saturday nights starting at 7:05 PM. They have a vary nice stadium about 3 miles from the show.

    Chippewa Nature Center, 198 acres lots of nice hiking trails , nice visitors center and homestead on the property, about 8 miles from the show.

    The Midland Mall is across the road from the show.


    Down town Midland is about 3 miles from the show, Main street is a nice place for a walk.

      If anyone wants to stay at a campground other than the fairgrounds , River Ridge is about 15 miles away and is a nice modern campground.

        I'm booked at the Hampton Inn starting on the Thursday along with 2 others I know from Ontario.
        I'll be bringing 3 sleds to show.
        Should be a good time.
